Happy Friday. I hope you have had a great week and have whatever you enjoy planned for the weekend. If you have nothing planned, maybe you’d like some of these entertainment options.
I have probably started two dozen movies/shows and quit because of one reason or another. I mean sometimes I can’t get past the first 15 minutes or the first episode. I spare you all from even having to hear about those. Here are the shows I actually watched
The Better Sister is quite the drama. And at the end the question still remains….who is the better sister. Both of these sisters have skeletons galore. A husband ends up dead, a son is suspected and these two have to decide if they will stand together or continue being enemies.
Sneaky Pete is about a guy who is released from prison but assumes the identity of his prison cellmate. He is a professional conman so he spent his prison time learning all about the cellmate’s past. So when he is released he goes to the guy’s family and pretends to be him…..all while also trying to swindle this family. You absolutely never know who is telling the truth and who is running a con in this one. It is definitely well written.
Wild Cards is a little less complicated. The guy is a buy the book officer who gets partnered with a known con artist. There are lots of episodes. But they essentially get a case and solve a case each episode. Its a good laundry folding show.
The Last Laugh is funny and sad. A talent agent who can’t book any new talent pulls on one of his old acts. They go on the road and have some success, but there are some secrets that come out along the way that are pretty sad. But it is an entertaining show.
Lastly The Gilded Age. This was good. I wasn’t crazy about the sets and the filming. It seemed slightly low budget, but the storyline was good and the characters were dynamic. It is very Downton Abbeyish so if you enjoyed that show you will like this one too.
