Happy Friday, friends! It is yard sale day for me so I have probably been up and selling for a couple of hours at least by the time this hits your inbox. For my sake I hope you got to sleep in a bit…..one of us needs to get some extra rest.
Today, I am sharing my latest watches with you in case you get some time to enjoy a little movie time this weekend. Here’s what I have been watching lately

Military Wives details a group of wives on a military base who gather together for support and entertainment. They try all kinds of activities but end up forming a choir. They go to a competition and I was pulling for them all the way. It is a very enjoyable watch.
Now Train Dreams was interesting. It is a bit sad. Slightly dark. It was interesting. A man takes work with the railroad in hopes of making a new life for his family. There’s loss and tragedy and just a whole lot of sadness. I have no idea if this based on a book or not, but the story felt very much like something that would have been required reading in high school.
Faith in the Flames is based on a true story of a nurse who is caught in a CA fire and fights to save her patients. It was good, but it almost felt like they were putting in a lot of filler to make it stretch out a bit. Still an inspirational story and enjoyable film.
Now Roofman….my goodness, this was also based on a true story. This man who absolutely cannot get his life together is on the run from the police for multiple robberies. He ends up hiding and living in a toy store. He is actually very smart and it is something watching him manipulate the whole security system and all the people who work in the store. Listen, I pulled for this guy the whole movie. I won’t spoil the ending but it is definitely worth the watch.
Wishing you some good entertainment and a wonderful weekend!
