Bringing Friday in with a big welcome squeeze. Come on in here weekend we are ready for you. And just in case you get some television time this weekend. Here’s what I have watched lately

Okay, I have heard of Mr. Beast and his popularity with young kids but never really paid attention to anything he had done. But when his show Beast Games came on Amazon Prime, I thought I would give it a go. It was interesting. They start out with a bunch of contestants and the goal is to get down to one winner. So they do a bunch of competitions, but they aren’t just regular who can do this fastest kind of things. They really call for people to build alliances, betray each other, lie, scheme, etc. It got pretty brutal. It ended up actually being kind of hard to watch. It was pretty dog eat dog tough. I pushed through the first season, but I am passing on the second one.
I am sorry to say I am also passing on Love Story (The JFK Jr. & Carolyn Bessette) story. I couldn’t even push through all the episodes on this one. I am not sure when I have been more bored. Maybe I just didn’t go far enough, but I did not find it interesting or entertaining. Maybe it was just me……because a lot of people loved it. To each his own.
I did enjoy Ella McCay. It is a drama steeped in family dysfunction. Ella becomes governor but managing a state is easy peasy compared to dealing with her dad and her husband. It has a little comedy thrown in which helps. But all in all a very entertaining and compelling movie which I enjoyed!
I also enjoyed Dynasty: The Murdochs. My oh my, this is one of those you couldn’t make it up family stories. I knew a bit of this story, but I learned a lot. It was so interesting and quite remarkable how this family has played such a role in world events for decades. Who knew! This one did not disappoint.
Also, a good, sweet, funny show is Best Medicine. There are a lot of episodes so it is a great weekend binge. It is all about this doctor is the wacky little community. There is no shortage of characters and everyone seems to need something from this poor doc. Not life changing. But a solid show for entertainment purposes.
Wishing you all a great weekend and at least a few hours of mindless television entertainment.
