Welcome to Friday…..yay!!! I am so excited that you all are excited about our Word of the Year for 2026. If you missed the roll out, check out Wednesday’s post. Whether you read the book of not, you will easily be able to participate in our monthly activities. I just loved the book so I think you all will too.
But now on to the latest entertainment. Now that it is not appropriate for me to only watch Christmas movies, I am back to regular programming. Here’s what I have watched lately

We started watching this new game show on Netflix What’s in the Box. We probably watched half the season in one night. There are several teams each made up of a pair of people. They all compete answering questions to win “what’s in the box”. They form alliances and have to make some difficult strategic decisions. This show must have quite a budget because there are some pricey prizes in the boxes.
The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry is based on a book. I read it a couple of years ago. I liked the book. I also liked the movie, but of course feel the book is better. But they did a good job on this movie and it was very entertaining. Just be aware there is a suicide reference in this one.
The second season of Man on the Inside is now on Netflix. We loved the 1st season. We liked the 2nd season. They do carry over several of the characters from season 1 so that is good. The comedy here is dry and witty which is just my kind of show. Definitely watch season 1 if you haven’t, then watch season 2 for good measure.
Lastly, Man vs. Baby is funny. Rowan Atkinson (who also played Mr. Bean) is a very physical actor. The dialogue is at a minimum but he puts his whole body into every scene. He also did Man vs. Bee and that one is good as well. This is a great laundry folding show if you need one.
Hope everyone has a great weekend. And if you need some entertainment, maybe one of those sounds good to you.
