Welcome to August and our opportunity to focus our investing muscles in a new direction.
This month, we are focusing on investing in a Child/Schools
Okay, there are so many ways for us to do this, but let’s throw out a few options to get the ideas flowing:
- Prayer – our kids, our teachers, our schools need our prayers. If you need some prayer prompts, click here to see my whole post about back to school prayers
- Buy needed supplies. If you know any teachers you know they have a lot of personal expenses to get and keep their classrooms running. Most teachers are happy to share their wish list and many create them on Amazon so you can easily shop them. You can search the teacher lists by state or you could ask a local teacher of your choice.
- Provide a fun back to school gift to a kid in your life. Might I suggest My Reading Adventure Journal. It has a book suggestions, book activities and a place to record all the books they read and ones they want to read. Help develop a child’s love for reading with this gift. As a person who has an excel spreadsheet of every book I have read since high school, I love this idea.
- Contact a school and see if there is a way to treat the teachers and staff…….muffins, donuts, lunch deliveries
And let’s spread the love from pre-schools to colleges. They all need our prayers, our support and our engagement.
