I am personally starting to miss the writers. I hope they can all come to an agreement soon. We need new fall shows. We need good entertainment.
Well here’s what I have watched lately

A Man Called Otto – well I finally broke down and watched this. It is based on the book A Man Called Ove. I am not sure why they felt the need to change the name. And I absolutely love Tom Hanks. I also loved the book. I am afraid I did not enjoy the movie. It has a lot of suicidal thoughts and attempts. These were also in the book but when I read the book, I never really felt he was really trying to do it. But they portrayed it in the movie as very serious life attempts. The book I found to be quirky and sweet. The movie was sad and troubling. This is why I like books. I can put my own spin on the characters, their actions and all that is going on. Anyway, I still love Tom and the book……and we will just leave that there.
Ted Lasso – If you haven’t seen any of this series, I am genuinely sorry for you. This is one of the best shows in years, possibly decades. I have been avoiding finishing the series because I didn’t want it to end. But due to the strike I am running low on watching options. Thanks to the great writers who put this show together. I love this one!
Crime Scene Kitchen. – we have been watching this on network television. It is fun, challenging and quite yummy. There is a kitchen with clues….could be flour or a smear of fruit or a pastry bag. The teams have to take note of every clue left in the kitchen and then go bake what they think the mystery dessert is. They all have different interpretations of the clues. It is incredible what they come up with. Some of them are so far off and some are spot on. Every week a team is eliminated until a champion is crowned. It is just a fun little light show.
Hack my Home – This one is on Netflix. People invite this team in to solve some odd problem they have with their homes. There are all kinds of scenarios – a homeshool family, quadruplets, crazy kitchens, round homes. It is a great in the background show. I pay close attention to the first few minutes to understand the challenge and the reveal at then the end. It is cute and enjoyable.
Hope you have an entertaining weekend!
