This is the console in our car pretty much year round. I am in the passenger seat with the seat heaters on and my husband has got his temp low and probably has the window cracked. I may or may not also be wrapped in a throw.
I would like to personally thank the person who developed dual temp controls for our cars. I am certain my relationship with my husband is stronger because of it.
Other things that help us co-exist peacefully
- Sleep number mattress that allows us to be at two totally different numbers
- Water dispensed from the fridge door, mine has ice to the top, him no ice at all
- Television timer – I like the noise going to sleep but want it off in the middle of the night, he can keep it on all night long with infomercials blaring
- 1000 tv channels – me always on something happy, he is watching something scary or sports which are kind of the same thing
Those are all peace builders at our house. Now when it comes to which side of the sink to make the dishwater in……oh boy we have gone around and around about that one. We debated each other in our first house and the debate is still on.
He always makes the soapy water in the side right side and rinses in the left. The garbage disposal is on the right side which means you can send nothing down it until he finishes washing dishes.
I always make soapy water on the left side and rinse on the right. This keeps the garbage disposal open for any last many scrapes and I am pretty sure left to right is just the correct way to do anything.
If you would like to vote that I am correct, please leave a comment to that effect below. Until then I will be focusing on the fact that I can have my temperature in the car, my comfort in my bed, sweet tv channels and a timer that keeps me from listening to knife commercials in the middle of the night.
See you back on Friday……

You are correct!
š Thanks!
Of course you are right!
Before reading this, I thought my husband was the only person in the world that did this! I try not to sweat the small stuff and be grateful that he does the dishes, but Iām so annoyed by this. Alas.
LOL we are sink sisters! We must stick together!
Oh my goodness, my hubby does the same thing. For years he’s been washing the dishes on the right side and we always debate which way is correct. Totally backwards in opinion. I was always taught left.to.right. But just grateful he’s doing the dishes, so I just walk away.
Maybe it is just a guy thing š
