I do hope you had a good weekend. I feel like I am gradually coming back to life and adjusting to this springing forward deal. I am thinking of getting one of those clocks that gradually gets brighter mimicking a sunrise……I really need morning light.
But once I drug myself to standing position, we had a good weekend. Super quiet, uneventful, nowhere to be and nothing on the schedule……seriously my favorite kinds of weekends.
We got some household chores done and then did a little retailing
I grabbed this pretty little lace top from Marshalls for only $19.99. It is super soft and very light and you know what? It fit in perfectly when I hung it in the closet next to my other three white lace tops. What can I say….I like what I like.
The dress is from Sweet Pineapple. I thought it was a real steal at under $50. And it has pockets!!!! I just pulled it out of the wash when I snapped this picture so it will need steaming, but it is a nice cotton, lined and the colors are really pretty. This is the time of year when all I want is dresses.
I was adding some shelves to my closet and needed more little pin brackets. So I went to Ace Hardware to see if they had them. They did not have the size I needed, but they did have this pretty little garden flag. My front yard gets lots of hot afternoon sun. I thought I would start the season with a vibrant colored flag to give it a chance of not being totally faded in a few months. Ace had tons of cute flags. I was glad to find this one.
Lastly, it was time for a new spring wreath. I got this one at Marshalls. I normally use a grapevine wreath or one with lots of greenery. I loved this one with the pink flowers on a brass ring for a different look. We will give it a few more weeks to make sure winter is actually done and then spruce up the front steps with some bright potted flowers.
Spring is here! Let’s prepare to enjoy!
