Hope everyone had a great weekend! We got some much needed rain. I know lots of people who were in the direct path of the hurricane got way more rain and wind than they wanted. I am always amazed at the winds we get this far from the coast. I literally can’t fathom how the winds feel to those on the coast. I talked to a few people who had some extended power outages and that is never fun.

I had a low key weekend. I went to a great Women’s conference and then I just got stuff done around the house. I also watched all kinds of things while doing those chores. Here’s a look at a few things I enjoyed

I found High Note on Amazon Prime. It was so cute and I really enjoyed it. I don’t know how I missed it when it came out, but I was certainly glad to find it. There’s a singer that is being hung out as a has been. Her assistant who is also an aspiring music producer joins forces with her to make a big career move.

2 Hearts is on Netflix and I stumbled across it as well. If you tend to cry, don’t even sit down without a supple of tissue at the ready. This goes back and forth between two time frames. One man is struggling with a long term health condition. The other is just beginning to really live. Turns out this is based on a true store. It is sweet and lovely……and you are definitely going to cry.

I also got caught up on Big Brother. This year’s cast may be the worst at making alliances and strategy. Every week the whole house turns upside down. We only have one or two people left that I really wouldn’t want to win. If they get voted out, I will be happy with all those left. Chelsea if for sure my favorite. She is sooooo funny. I love to hear her diary room talks.

Geek Girl is on Netflix and it was probably the least enjoyable of all of these. I don’t tend to like high school focused shows because I just have to hope and pray this is not how kids actually behave. In this one, a young girl who is bullied at school for being a geek falls into a modeling career. It turns out okay and is a good filler while folding laundry, but I could not have just sat down and watched this on its own.
