I have a few good shows for your viewing pleasure. In keeping with Black History Month here you go…..

First, A Most Beautiful Thing is on Amazon. My friend Susan recommended it to me. She actually read the book and mentioned it might be a movie. I looked it up and there it was. This is all about the first black rowing team. These kids were from a tough neighborhood and rowing was the last thing any of them thought they would do. It’s real life so you know I love it. It is fun, inspirational and very entertaining. It really is a beautiful thing.
If you like good old romantic movies, watch Sylvie’s Love on Amazon. Two kids from different worlds fall in love, but parents and life prevent them from being together. However, they just might find each other later in life. It is a well done romantic story that has you pulling for Sylvie and her love all the way through.
Now Lupin is on Netflix and he is a smooth operator. He loses his dad to some very unfortunate circumstances as a young boy. He spends the rest of life trying to set things right. He is a master of disguise, a super strategist and of course really lucky. He maneuvers in out of situations with ease and style. This is a series and there is definitely more to come. I really enjoyed this one. And I will definitely be tuning into the next season. By the way there are some mentions of suicide, just want you to know ahead of time.
Soul is on Disney Plus. The animation is fantastic. The story is heart warming. At first, I wasn’t sure where it was going, but once it got moving I could not look away. We watched it as a family and one or two people may have cried……not tragic tears, but good movie tears. Oh you should watch it. I think you will love it. We did!!!
The last one is also a true story. It is a documentary about a group of men who pour themselves into a youth football league. We are the Brooklyn Saints and it is on Netflix. I loved the love and support these men gave these young boys. I loved the kids were allowed to be kids. Listen, they duct taped a bus together to transport their kids. That is a clear sign of good people. It is a series, handful of episodes….. I may have watched them all in one day.
These are all great. Very successful binging for me. Let me know what you think of them.
See you back on Friday!
