Sometimes I hit quite the Entertainment drought…..poor Netflix is having a hard time keeping up with me. But I have had some recent luck. Here’s what I have been watching…..

LaLa Land – This is an old one. But because I rarely actually go to a theater, this is how I watch most things. It is a musical of sorts, there’s lots of dialogue for those who can’t stand 100% musicals. The story is very cute and heart tugging. I am glad I finally watched it.

Where the Crawdads Sing – I read the book when it came out several years ago. I resisted the movie for awhile because books to movies normally disappoint me. I must say I think this is the closest I can remember a movie sticking to the book plot. And I think we all imagine the characters in a certain way and sometimes casting doesn’t see our vision. Well casting was spot on for me so that also helped. It was a good watch.

Begin Again – I stumbled upon this one in the trending on Netflix section. I really enjoyed it. Basically a washed out music guy randomly hears a girl in a bar one night. He wants to recharge his career with her talent. There are lots of twists and turns. Lots of fun music. Really just a sweet, fun movie!

Living with Yourself – I saw this one had Paul Rudd in it and I usually enjoy his work so I gave it a go. It is eight or nine episodes and takes a little imagination but was definitely entertaining. I don’t want to give away the plot, but imagine if there were two of you……one version exhausted from the grind of life….the other a best version of you. There is one scene you may have to fast forward through but you will know it is coming and will easily be able to do so.
