If you recognized this title, you should probably call me because you must play Mahjong! I just happened to be in a store and saw these beautiful tiles. I had no idea what they were, what you did with them or anything else. I just knew I wanted them and to do whatever they were designed for.
Of course, I went to Instagram and YouTube and then I was totally in. Now these little beautiful tiles and all of there accompanying pieces are not inexpensive. They are actually quite pricey. We decided to take an intro class to see if we liked the game and if we could learn to play before making the investment.
My family gave me a gift certificate for a class with @256Mahjong (Elizabeth Burgreen). We could have up to 12 people so I started asking people and lots of people also wanted to learn to play. We quickly got our 12 and had the class,

When I tell you it was fun ……..it was FUN!!!!!
My daughters made all the food and even bought Mahjong accessories

Each of the tables had a different tile set

They were all so pretty!
Elizabeth was a wonderful teacher. There are a lot of rules and pieces to learn. We basically did one game as guided play and then played two more games semi-on our own. She and her assistant were moving around answering questions and offering guidance.
It was the best night!
I spent the next few nights searching the internet and looking at all the options. The prettier sets are all about the same price. I decided to go with the Oh My Mahjong brand. Fortunately, a local store -The Topiary Tree – sells this brand and I’m always happy to support them because they are the sweetest.

I got the Dandy tiles, clear acrylic pushers and The La Fete mat.
So excited to play again!!!!
