Hello. Hope everyone had a good weekend. Me, it was good but y’all know I do not spring forward well. I may be worst. I dread the whole turning the clocks forward thing. I am crawling through the day now…..but in a few weeks I will adjust and come to expect it to still be sunny at 8:00pm. So be it! Here we are.
As we go into March, I am reminded that it is Women’s History Month. There’s no shortage of greatness for us to look back on. Lots of amazing women have done some incredible things. But I don’t want us to miss the great things that are going on right now. Things that your family, friends, community will remember about you and all you are doing right now.
I just went through the blog subscribers and those who communicate with me regularly here and I just want you all to see the few things I know we as women are contributing:
Educating students, Sharing God’s Word, Running businesses, Encouraging each other, Making meals, Doing Laundry, Managing household budgets, Leading organizations, Finishing Chemotherapy, Taking care of elderly/ill family members, Volunteering with non-profits, Fund raising, Rearing children, Prayer Circles, Book Clubs, Keeping Grandkids, Car lines, Community service projects, Creating Art, Baking, Sewing, Mending, Quilting, Gardening, Writing books, Composing Bible Studies, Planning Trips, Organizing parties, Buying gifts, Singing in choirs, Scheduling everyone’s appointments, Reminding everyone to go their appointments, Delivering meals, Running church programs……I could go on and on
But what you are mainly doing is providing the nurturing to this world that it can’t survive without. You are making a difference. You are fueling these families, friends and communities forward.
Honor the history makers of the past. But don’t ever forget that what you are doing matters.
Shout out a woman who is rocking it out!
Have the best week making the world a better place!
