We have a new Cajun place in town and we gave it a try. We’d heard good things about it and well….we agree. Cajun Roux is open and serving up traditional Cajun dishes. Here is what we had

The pasta was very protein packed. There was sausage, chicken and shrimp. And not a little of each, lots of each. The sauce was good and it was a big dish,

We also ordered the fried catfish po boy. There was an option to get the fish grilled or blackened. It too was a large portion. The fries were thin but wide. They were very good and we all sampled those.

Lastly, the red beans and rice with sausage. This comes in a bowl or cup. We got the bowl. It was spicy, flavorful and delicious. This is where the fries came in handy. I had to keep giving my mouth a spice break by consuming a few fries.

Service was good. They have a nice outdoor eating area and televisions all about. We really enjoyed it and thought the prices were very reasonable especially for the portion sizes.

If you are in the mood for a little Louisiana spice, go for it. Hope you love it too. Have a great weekend.
