Well happy August! And I know some people are rejoicing the summer is over (parents) and some are sad (students)…..or who knows maybe some of the students are like me and are super excited to be going back. I have walked through the school supply section so many times. But I was good and didn’t buy anything. We have literally so much wide rule paper and mechanical pencils in this house already. But gosh I love that section. I hope kids are looking forward to getting back with friends.
Regardless, it is upon us. So join with me as pray for this school year. Here are a few prompts
Praying for
- Provision of supplies and everything needed for a successful year.
- The right pairing of student and teacher
- Parents to adjust to the new schedule
- Peaceful mornings as students prepare to come to school
- Provision for teacher and staff families as they navigate caring for their personal and their school families
- Safety and the feeling of safety for all the kids
- Maturity and control for students who act out against classmates and teachers
- Productive partnering between parents and teachers
- Every child to find “their people” and no one feel alone
- Honoring of school zones and school bus safety
Please take some time to lift up these and any other school related needs you can think of. I have developed a habit of praying for schools every time I drive by them…..elementary, middle, high and college. If you drive by a place of learning of any kind, send up a prayer. There’s probably a student or teacher who could use it.
