Year End Post

First up, here are the last book winners for the year

Many, many thanks to you all for entering. And a big congrats to all the winners.

Also, thank you all for joining me here each week. It really does mean a lot. Sometimes I wonder if anyone is even reading this stuff and then I get a sweet email or the occasional comment and think, oh there they are.

I love being able to connect with you here to chat and share about life. I hope you find a post that encourages you, or entertains you or just makes you smile every now and then.

I wanted to also thank those of you who decided to participate in our first Group Blog Give. Collectively, we gave over $2000 to two wonderful causes (that you recommended).

First we had a family in need……a family consisting of two parents and five daughters. We put together a beautiful gift box for each girl

Each girl received a purse, bath and body products, a beanie, a devotional, candies and fun girly products like lip balm, nail decals, etc. Plus each got a couple of gift cards to select some things on their own.

We also did a box for the parents with hot cocoa, chocolates and gift cards for groceries. We also were able to give some family board games for them to enjoy. We had a great friend with a personal connection who was able to deliver everything for us and allow us to remain anonymous.

Our second give was to Beyond Blessed Homeless ministry. We met with them and got an understanding of what they really needed. We were able to get several pairs of warm pants, thermals, gloves, toboggans and socks.

They also needed laundry supplies as they take the homeless community for a laundry day once a month. We got laundry pods and dryer sheets to help out with that. Then we put together baggies of essentials like toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, hand sanitizer and lip balm for the ministry to be able to distribute. With your generosity we were also able to provide a gift card so they can buy food products and other essentials.

They were so thankful and thrilled to receive all of these items. How wonderful it will be to bless some of these men with brand new items of their very own. I am so thankful to each of you and amazed by your generosity. What a blessing it is to bless. In this year that we have had a focus here on love, I think this was the absolutely perfect way to wrap up the year. Thank you being love in action!!!
