I hope you had a great weekend. Ours was packed with rollercoaster weather and time changes, but still good times. We took a quick trip to Nashville and persevered…..and by persevered I mean soothed ourselves with retail and good food.
We started our weekend at a place we’ve always wanted to try

This place is beautiful. It was just spectacular. The atmosphere and scenery alone are fantastic. We drove straight into town and headed here. We had a charcuterie board and some fries with some really good fry sauce. It was a lovely way to start off the weekend.
Then we headed to our version of Disney World

We met up with our number one Stylist, Buffy and did a little shopping. Everyone had a list of things they wanted to try to find and we did pretty good sticking to it. There may have been a few little surprises that came home with us, but for the most part we were pretty focused.
After Nordstrom we were getting a little concerned about the weather turning cold so we hit The Mill Boutique. I follow them on Instagram and always love their stuff. It is just around the corner from Green Hills Mall. They have the most unique and fun clothes. If you have a special occasion or event, I highly recommend a stop by there.
We then dashed over to 12 South. We didn’t take a lot of pictures because temps were falling and we were hustling. But we loved Draper James, Five Daughters Bakery, Stoney Clover and Outdoor Voices. Unfortunately, I have never been to 12 South in nice weather. But one of these days I am going to hit in on a sunny day and see all of the stores. It is a fun area with tons of shops and restaurants. We could have easily spent an entire day there.
But we had to get to the hotel and change for dinner at

The decor here is breath taking. So beautiful and soothing. I love the color blue and this place was full of it. We started with fried pickles and ate burgers, chicken sandwiches, steak and trout. We finished with their carrot cake which was delicious and another dessert, Grateu Basque that had cherries and was served with the best lime sorbet. We were very satisfied by the end of the meal.
And then this happened

Temps fell, it snowed, it sleeted, the winds blew like crazy and we scurried back to the hotel with hopes that we’d be able to get home the next day. Fortunately, the next morning the sun came out and the wind cleared off the roads by midday. We just slept in a bit, had breakfast at the hotel and then back to the mall we went. We had a few more stores we really wanted to hit before heading home.
It was great fun mostly because of the company. I don’t know how many more years I will get included in spring break trips, but I am here for it as long as they invite me.
Now I’ve got to get myself back in regular world mode. I hope you have a wonderful week! Let’s make it a great one!
