Welcome to September! It is time to roll out our Focus verse for this month. I am so glad God gave us Worship as our Focus this year. I feel like our focus has been constantly tugged this year to so many other things. I have needed this constant reminder that God is not changing, He is faithful and always worthy of our Worship. When we redirect our energy, our thoughts, our focus to Worship, our priorities and perspective on wordly things can shift.
Here is our Focus verse for this month.
I always like to remind myself that the good things that are happening in my life are not of my own doing. If I managed to make a difference for someone else, it is because of God. If I actually said the right thing, encouraged someone, brought a smile to someone’s face it is all because of God.
We are in such a culture of “look at me”. There seems to be a constant contest of one person trying to out do the next. But what if we simply honored God, not ourselves. What if we pointed to His Glory not our own. I believe we would see quite a shift……a much needed shift in this world.
As we move through September, let’s look for every opportunity to point to God, His faithfulness, His love. We won’t have to look far, it won’t be too challenging, but it will be edifying for us and most importantly Glorifying to Him.
