I had to make a quick run into Target on Saturday morning. That Dollar Spot section has always been a favorite of mine. I love the low prices. I love the constant rotation of merchandise and I love the fun little selections you can find there. I personally think Fall is the Dollar Spot’s finest hour. However, last fall when I unpacked my 40 plus pumpkins from the attic for our fall decor I signed an internal pledge with myself that I should not buy any more pumpkins. I was secretly afraid that TLC was going to start a Pumpkin Hoarders show and I was going to be the first feature.
But it sure was fun to browse the section this weekend. They had this cute little shelf and these sweet little pumpkins

Now before you get too concerned that I am adding to my collection. I am not. I did purchase these little pieces but they are going to live in a dorm room that could use a little fall influence. Hey, college students need some fun seasonal decor too. And that, friends, is how you justify buying more pumpkins.
Regardless, this is my season. I love fall. I can’t wait for cool weather, soups and more reasons to sit under a throw. I enjoy the coziness of fall and winter so I am looking forward……..looking forward to many things. Lots of these things will look and feel different this year, but I think with some effort and creativity we can make them work.
We all need something to anticipate, to daydream about…….What are you looking forward to?
Hope you have a great week. See you back on Wednesday with our Worship Focus for September!
