I hope you had a great weekend and hope it was a long weekend for you. I can always use a Monday off so we made the most of it which loosely translated means we just took it easy.
It has been a while since we talked restaurants around here. Primarily because we have been frequenting our favorites and not really hitting new places. But this weekend we did. A new Walk Ons opened and we decided to pop in and give it a try. We went after Church for lunch. I am assuming they have the one menu no matter the time of day. The prices were not typical lunch prices in my opinion ……more like dinner prices.
But once I saw the portions, it became a little more clear. This is definitely a place you can split something, the portions were very generous.
We decided on this salad – The Chicken Berry Pecan Salad
It was a HUGE bowl of mixed greens, grilled chicken, apples, strawberries, blueberries, candied pecans, cheese and a raspberry vinaigrette. It was really delicious. My husband and I shared it and still brought some home.
We also shared the Catfish Plate
Everything on this plate was delicious from the hush puppies to the seasoned fries. We did manage to finish this plate together.
There are televisions everywhere playing every sporting event you can think of. It wasn’t too loud. We were able to talk with no problems. All in all a really good experience. I am rather looking forward to going back.
It is nice to have another good place to put in our rotation.
