Yes, we are still working on the kitchen. We almost had a full-fledged come apart about a week and a half ago. We were super excited because it was appliance day!!!!! The appliance guys came. They heaved large boxes into the house. And then they said “we are the deliverers, not the installers”.
And I got in my car and drove off.
It was the only logical thing to do because here I am trying to be focused on Investing in my Day to Day (go back and see that post by clicking here) and there are no words in my head or my mouth that will invest in the betterment of these two gentleman. I left my husband to do the investing and took a pass on this particular opportunity.
So we had to call to get on the installer calendar and we skooched around these massive boxes for days on end while waiting. Well yesterday, the installers showed up. Yes, please and thank you. So we now have a microwave

A sink and a dishwasher

A cooktop

We can’t actually use it yet because the hood is not in, but baby steps.
And possibly my favorite

Double Ovens!!!!! I have wanted these gals for a long time so I was so excited to see them go in.
In other progress……did you all know you can have a Free Facetime appointment with Sherwin Williams? I had no idea until I was reading one of my magazines and there it was. I signed up, scheduled my appointment and counted the days. We have approximately 10 paint swatches on the walls and we were not close to a decision. The Sherwin Williams consultant had me send photos of the space, I told her what fabric we used for our sofas, showed her the rug and a few accent pieces. She sent me three color options. Fortunately, we had not tried any of the ones she suggested, so I feel like the opportunity to get a win here is pretty high. I will be grabbing those samples this weekend.
So we still have to finish the trim, do the back splash, paint the entire first floor, sand and stain the first level flooring and get lights installed. Oh and have the fridge installed because the fridge installer is a different guy than the one who installs all the other appliances…..of course he is.
Hang in there with us….we are ALMOST there.
Have the best weekend.

Yay! A kitchen update!
There always seems to be unknown steps they don’t tell you about. I’ve only had appliances from Costco, and they include the install. I wouldn’t have thought about separate installers.
The appliances are gorgeous! Wow! I can’t wait to hear your reviews after you’ve used them.
And I had no idea about Sherwin Williams consultation. That is an AWESOME feature.
Congrats!!!
I can’t wait to cook some things. I will definitely report back.
They are gorgeous! and Wolf appliances! Those red dials are recognizable from anywhere! The farmhouse sink is also amazing. I can’t express enough love… So excited for you guys!
Thank you!I think we are going to love the finished product.
