Puzzling….

I got this beautiful puzzle as a retirement present. Thank you, Phyllene!

I love Anne Nielson’s work. I have some of her scripture cards and one of her books. I think they are beautiful and inspiring. I knew this puzzle was going to be tough though because it is a series of gradient colors not necessarily individual items to look for on puzzle pieces.

I started by sorting the pieces into like colors and finding all the edge pieces

And then I worked through piece by piece trying to get it together. I would always get to a place where I just needed this one piece to finish the greens, or the blues, or the lamb’s face or the angel’s clothing and I COULD NOT FIND IT!!!! Here’s the thing – I probably said to myself, “there is no way this piece is here” one thousand two hundred ninety-nine times. I always felt I knew what I was looking for. I thought I was looking at every piece available. And still I would think it just can’t be here.

Well I was also praying about something during the week I was working on this puzzle that I couldn’t figure out. I honestly didn’t see how it was going to work out. And every time I said there’s no way this puzzle piece is here and then I would find it 20 minutes later…….I was reminded of how God has everything already worked out. Sometimes we just can’t see it. All the pieces are there. The resolution is there. But maybe we can’t see it.

I want to encourage you today that if you are praying for/about something that feels impossible to you, keep praying. Our God is in control, all the pieces are lined up, everything is in place for the best resolution. We just have to keep moving forward, trusting Him.

Literally, every time I would find one of these “impossible” pieces to this puzzle, I was reminded of this.
