New Things

I have a couple of new finds to show you that might be helpful to you. Because that’s what we do around here….we share good things so others can enjoy them

First up is this cake mix

We are trying to cut back on sweet treats around here AND we know us. We have zero self-control! So for birthdays we try to still provide the treat but not a week’s worth. You know – let’s eat the cake, celebrate and then be done. So I bought this mix and only made half of it. It was super easy and it was good. You could make a loaf or a round layer. I chose the round since it was a birthday. It was just enough for us all to have some and the birthday boy to have some the next day.

If you are local, I found this mix at Walker’s Market. They have other varieties if you are not a carrot cake fan. This one was quite delicious.

Now while we are reducing dessert sizes we are obviously going the other way with candles.

I put the diet coke beside it to give you the idea of the size (the acrylic platform is one I already owned). I think the container is beautiful. It smells wonderful and it is huge. I light it every day and just enjoy hanging out with my large candle. There were maybe 4 scents to choose from. I wanted to grab one and make sure it actually provided good fragrance. It does!!! They are around $50 at Costco.

I think this would be such a fun gift. They come nicely boxed which would also make it nice for gifting.
