Making a Bunting

We are planning a baby shower for a friend. The theme is tractors and I made a little tractor themed bunting for the occasion. Here’s what I started with

I found this very old book with lots of tractor pictures in it. Now before you all tell me that I shouldn’t cut up books, I totally agree. But this one was done. Pages falling out. Pages missing. It was a mess. I went to the fabric store and found two fabrics that were green and yellow to coordinate.

I cut the pages into triangles and the fabric in the same size triangles

Then I used Fray Check that I also bought at the fabric store and went around the edges of all the fabric triangles……you guessed it…..so the edges will not ravel.

I then punched two holes in the paper triangles and reinforced the holes

I cut holes in the fabric and then nothing was left to do but string all the pieces on twine.

Inexpensive, cute and theme appropriate. Should be a cute addition to celebrate a sweet little boy coming into the world.
