We always do a little craft after Thanksgiving dinner. If you are feeling a little crafty and need an idea, this one was quick and super easy.
Here are our supplies

You will need a tree form. I searched everywhere for the papier-mache ones but no one had them in stock. Who knows maybe that is the same stuff that make that little cardboard thing in the toilet tissue. And maybe that explains the shortage. So we got styrofoam forms instead and they worked fine. You will also need a hot-glue gun and check on the yarn aisle for some Faux fur yarn. I am not a knitter, but I don’t ever remember seeing this before so it may be fairly new. I bought the grey at Hobby Lobby and the red at Joanne’s Fabric. There were lots of colors to choose from.
All you do is put a dab of glue on your form and attach the yarn. Then just continue to wrap. We found it easier to start from the top and work our way down. Just occasionally add a dab of glue to hold everything in place.
I think they turned out very cute

And here’s our whole little forrest.

Not everyone in my family enjoys crafting but ….it’s tradition. They were all super pleased that this one was so easy and quick.
Go ahead and enjoy making your own little faux fur tree farm.
