Every now and then I like to remind us all to focus on something we are excited about and looking forward to……..

I feel like the older as we get we almost start focusing on what we are NOT looking forward to – having to go to work, a dentist appointment, making that phone call, cleaning the fridge, getting the trash to the curb, servicing the car……and on and on
But remember being a kid and looking forward to simple things- having your friend over, favorite show on tv, pizza day in the cafeteria, book fair day, learning whose class you were in and who your homeroom teacher would be, seeing your cousins…. and on and on
Well we still have stuff to look forward to. And we should! We may just need to reframe some things.
So let’s dig deep and think about what we are looking forward to. It’s good for the mind and heart to have that joyful anticipation. We need that!!!
I’m looking forward to a couple of getaways we have planned, some upcoming weddings, a few classes I have signed up for and going to see Priscilla Shirer speak!
If you legitimately can’t think of anything, you know what that means….. you need to plan something fun for yourself – lunch with a friend, a facial or massage, a class at the library, a visit to a family member, getting a book on release day! Whatever would make you smile when you think of it. That needs to get on your calendar as soon as possible!
We are curious. What are you looking forward to? Tell us in the comments.

Looking forward to a trip to England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland. Get back and within 3 days travel to Mackinaw Island with our church.
Sounds awesome. Enjoy to the fullest!!!!
