Here’s what I have been watching lately
Miss Potter – Listen if they ever make a movie about your life story see if Renee Zellweger is available to play you. She becomes the person. I loved her in Judy (where she played Judy Garland) and I loved her in this movie about Beatrix Potter’s life. This is a wonderfully sweet and lovely movie. I happened upon it and am so glad I did. Watch this one for sure.
My Other Mother – This is a fun little casual viewing movie. A very citified, elegant daughter tries to get to know her mother who is everything opposite of her. This was cute and great to watch while getting that laundry folded.
The Circle – I binged the first season of this and loved it. I am trying to take it slower on the second season……well because there are only two seasons and I want to stretch it out. Essentially a group of random people all move into a building but they don’t see each other in person. They can only communicate via social media. It is an extremely interesting social experiment. Now they are just real people. They are not given any lines…..it is reality tv so the language can get a bit sassy at times. The second season seems to have more potty mouths. But I am only on episode two. Hopefully, they can pull it together so I can be entertained and not audibly assaulted.
Firefly Lane – I read this book so I thought I would enjoy the series. Well I forget when a book starts describing a scene I don’t need or want to know the details about, I just turn the page. There’s a lot of random, excessive bedroom scenes in this. I would say read the book. This was kind of hard to enjoy.
The Wilds – This was just bizarre to me. A group of girls is stranded on an island and they sometimes pull together and they sometimes don’t. But there is a weird twist about how they all get there. They all have the most disturbing back stories. I am sure that this is representative of how some kids grow up. But I don’t want to know that and so I don’t find it entertaining. I’ll just say this about this one: I watched season one and didn’t continue with the other seasons.
The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society – Weird title but cute enough movie. You won’t come away changed from this but it is sweet and entertaining enough. I enjoyed this one.
Literally, I have started a half a dozen other movies or shows and had to abandon ship. If the first 15 minutes is already excessive skin and sin, I just go ahead and quit which is really frustrating because then I have to go back through the whole loading of Netflix or Amazon or Hulu all over again.
If you have watched anything good……pretty please point me to it and save me some remote control clicks.
See you back on Friday!
