Aren’t you glad to see December and know that we can’t be shamed for too early Christmas celebrations and decorations anymore? Now that December has rolled in, it is generally accepted to decorate and do all the Christmas things. So let’s embrace it full force.
I added one tree and I love it.

This is the 7.5 foot My Texas House Tree from Wal Mart. We now have a tree in the office and a collection of ornaments from 30 years ago made it out of the attic to grace it.
I was influenced by social media and took on making this giant bow. I hung it on the catwalk.

It is chicken wire covered with fabric and I bled for it……literally I now have scars from a Christmas bow. Definitely not worth it. It is heavy and cumbersome and let’s hope all the zip ties hold. Definitely do not recommend. Just use paper and skip the chicken wire and the band aids.
I had one successful project. I made myself a covering for my kitchen island.

I grabbed this fabric back in the summer because it was down to a dollar per yard. I rolled it out over my island and cut out the general shape. I then hemmed it and that was that .

I have a few gatherings coming up and I think it will work great. I can just put out a food spread and folks can dip and drip and enjoy without me having to worry about it.
Lastly, I really lean into whatever we have going on, so every December I switch to a red purse, a holiday shower gel and wear my red glasses more often.

It’s the little things that make a time special. Try tweaking just a few things that you are going to do anyway to be more Christmasy and watch how it will amp up your spirit.
Full Christmas Mode……let’s go!
