Favorite Things

Welcome to Monday! I hope you had a great weekend and are feeling refreshed and ready for the week ahead. I hope you are taking December one day at a time and not allowing stress to creep in already. I highly encourage you to carve out some time and spend it with your people. I had the chance on Thursday to kick off the month with some of my favorite people sharing some of our favorite things.

Normally, I host at my house but since my kitchen is currently in the middle of a remodel it just wasn’t possible. So we all met up at local restaurant. I ordered these jars from Amazon. I also purchased some whole all spice, dried oranges, cinnamon sticks, dried pomegranate, whole nutmeg and cloves. I set everything up and as people arrived and while we were waiting on the food to arrive everyone assembled their own little jar to take home.

I just made the labels and printed them on my home printer. It turned out to be cute little party favor that I hope they will enjoy simmering on their stove top through the holidays.

After we ate we got down to the gift exchange. We all put our name in the hat three times. Everyone pulled three names and those were the gifts they got to take home. Here are the three I was lucky enough to come home with

One gift was a Philosophy Shower Gel and a Tarte mascara. The second gift was a Bible word search and a set of seriously the nicest pens. The third was some super smelling laundry products and a cute bracelet. I am a firm believer in utilizing all my gifts. So I am loving it all! It is always so much fun to see what everyone will bring. There were stuffed Santas, Diffusers, great Utility Shears, Wraps, Chocolates, Sephora Gift Cards, Lavender infused Heat Wraps and Re-chargable lighters.

I also purchased these bags from Amazon so everyone had a fun way to carry their new finds home

It really was a fun time with friends.

I spent the rest of the weekend getting our charity donations together for our Blog Group Give. I can’t tell you how appreciative I am for all of your generosity. Here’s a reminder of the three areas we are gifting this year

This will be our last week to collect donations. If you want to participate, get in touch with me before Friday. I will be making deliveries this coming weekend. I can’t wait to show you all what we were able to do together.

And if I could ask you for one more favor….. One of my dearest friends is literally fighting (and I do mean fighting) cancer. It, of course, is fighting dirty. I would greatly appreciate if you would say a prayer for her physical restoration, her spiritual strength and for absolutely everything she stands in need of to be given to her in abundance.

So much going on. Thankful we have a God who is in control of it all!
