Welcome to Friday. We have another week down…..yes, a round of applause for Friday! Maybe you have some time this weekend to do a little television entertainment. Here’s what I have been watching

First, The Holdovers – I remember that this one was nominated a lot at the last awards ceremony. When I saw it pop up on Netflix I decided to give it a try. The premise is an all boys school is letting out for the Christmas Holiday. Some of the boys don’t have anywhere to go or can’t go home to their families. One of the faculty is assigned to stay and chaperone the holdovers. It has some language and some tough topics but all in all it was a good movie and further demonstrates how important good teachers can be in a kid’s life.
One Day is a series. I started and stopped it a couple of times. I did not love it. There was just too much going on in the middle. The end was actually good and I am glad I finished it. If you are a crier, you are definitely going to need some Kleenex.
Falling for Figaro is about a young girl who walks away from her corporate job to become an opera singer. She goes off to train with this famous lady and discovers a lot about herself as a person in the process. This was sweet and enjoyable.
Lastly, The Mother of the Bride. This is the Brooke Shields movie. She shows up at her daughter’s destination wedding where she will meet the groom for the first time. The groom happens to be the son of her ex from college. It is fun and cute and, of course, predictable. But that’s okay it is still an entertaining film.
Enjoy some entertainment. Enjoy your weekend. See you back on Monday!

Falling for Figaro sounds good!
