Bring me all of the good shows…..all of them. I have had about a 90% success rate as of late and it has been wonderful. Here’s what I have been watching lately

My favorite of the month is definitely The Burial. It is based on a true story and is drama, comedy, inspiration all wrapped up in one. A small town funeral home hires a big city law firm to help defend against a shady contract agreement. It has all the things that make a great movie. It is perfectly cast. We watched it as a family and everyone enjoyed.
Love Punch is all about a divorced couple who discovers their retirement savings is gone. They link back up to go after the company that took it. It is a fast paced, wild ride of believable and unbelievable circumstances. All in all just a light fun movie to enjoy.
Queen Bees has the same feel. An older lady has a mishap in her own home which lands her in an independent living facility. She doesn’t want anything to do with it. Her daughter encourages her to take advantage and get involved. She makes friends….and more than friends. It is all about relationships – and their ups and downs. Another fun, light enjoyable watch.
Lastly, is Black Cake. Okay this one is not light. It is a series not a movie. It is based on the book of the same title. It is complicated story of the past never ever letting go of the future. Everything comes to light after the mom passes and her two kids begin to discover her real past through taped messages she has left for them. It is raw, emotional, joyful, terrifying and horrific. There are some parts that are hard to watch so definitely not for everyone. (Sexual abuse, violence, racism, did I mention violence) There are definitely some tough scenes.
Hope you are as equally entertained.
See you back on Friday.

“Black Cake” was suggested to me. I struggle with heavy novels and movies. I may check it out. Thanks for always sharing.📖
