Hope you had a wonderful weekend and are ready for another great week. I kept the weekend to the bare essentials because I was tired. So Just really filled the days with rest and enjoyment. Our college friends were in town and so we got to have dinner with them and then they spent the night with us. If you haven’t had a hangout with good old friends in a while…..I highly recommend!
Now today, we have another installment of This is How I. In this series I am answering the most asked questions around here

Laundry – It is the chore that is never done. We are always wearing clothes, sleeping on sheets or using dish towels. It is just how it goes.
But laundry is my favorite chore. It allows a lot of multitasking. I can get a load started and do several other things. And then I can watch some television while I fold and put a way.
Like everything I believe in making even our chores a nice, fun event. I also believe in making them as pretty as possible

Some nice glass jars and labels make the supplies look nice. I got my jars at Target and ordered my labels online. You, of course, can find all you need on Amazon if you want to go that route.
Now my laundry process is nothing outstanding. It is simply what works for me. Everyone at my house is pretty much responsible for their own laundry. We started our kids sorting, washing and putting away their laundry around age 10….they are almost good at it now ;). Also, one person washes at a time. When you have a house with so many women, who are all close to the same size and all shop in similar stores, it is just too complicated to figure out what belongs to who in that situation. So someone is washing just about every day. And we just check to see if they are done and they next person starts up.
We also wash dirtiest to cleanest. I am 100% sure this doesn’t matter at all, but there is just something about putting my dishtowels in the washer right after socks and undies. It is a mental thing, I know. But it is who I am and at this point I just accept it. Also, I know bleach is controversial, but I am a regular bleach user. We are a white towel and mostly white sheet household so I can always bleach those on a regular basis.
I know lots of people do other things like wash a load a day, have everyone put daily clothes straight into the washer and some people don’t even color sort. Well we all have to do our thing. The main thing is to find out what works for you and your crew and go with that.
If you have some favorite tips and tricks, let the rest of know. We are all about sharing best practices around here.
Let’s go make it a great week!

I am drowning in laundry as I read this.😆🙈
