I have been sewing since I was 12. I had no choice it was Home Ec or P. E. class……did anyone really think that was an option? Look, they could have offered cardboard box taping or remote control battery installation and I would have selected those over having to change clothes and run around playing whatever sport was in season. But I loved Home Ec. I loved the cooking portion. I loved the sewing portion. What can I say I was hooked.
I have tried many different projects over the years. Some successes and many failures. I bought a little doll carriage for my great-niece for Christmas and decided I would try my hand at making her a doll. My Aunt Ela made all of us many dolls over the years. I loved them all and still have them. So I found this pattern on Etsy, ordered it and went to work.
My supplies

I will link the pattern below. But I have to say I don’t think this is a beginner project. But it was quite fun putting it together. Here is how she turned out

And here is a look at her in just the little diaper

I think she turned out sweet and I hope she will be loved and dragged around for years to come.
The Etsy shop is NimblePhish and here is a link to her shop.
Maybe you know someone you’d like to make a little dolly for too.
If you avoided kickball, softball, and basketball like I did, this may be the perfect project for you.

What a sweet doll—and what a great job you did! Your great-niece will love her!
