Welcome to another edition of the $50 challenge. This time we are headed to Walmart (just online…..y’all know the deal). So there’s something about May being around the corner, sunshine and the promises of deck dinners that has me thinking about entertaining outdoors.
I love gingham and I love these napkins by The Pioneer Woman. They are bright and cheery and let’s face it, they will boost any table no matter what color plates you are using.
Speaking of plates, maybe you need some great melamine ones that will stand up to the outdoors. I like this set of multicolor plates. These are about 8.5 inch diameter. Because some of us have portion control issues at my house, this is the typical size plate we use. We kind of trick ourselves into feeling like we have a full plate this way without overeating. But they come larger if you are so inclined and possess more self-control than I.
Lastly is a great woven serving tray. This will come in handy through the summer or all year long. It’s a good find to use on a coffee table or night stand or vanity. But before you give it a permanent home, enjoy it on the deck through the summer evenings.
