What’s Happening

It is Friday! I know many of you are happy as I am to see it. People always ask why do I care because I am not working anymore. But Friday, the weekend in general, still has a vibe….an appeal….its own unique energy. And while my schedule doesn’t change that much. The family’s attitude is a little lighter for the weekend. Honestly, I feel like the whole world gets a little more chill. The people you run into in the grocery store or at TJ Maxx on Friday have a little more pep in the step and are a little more relaxed. So I guess I still welcome that.

Today I am sharing just a little of what’s happening

What I am loving…….

I am loving the discovery of new local stores to shop. I recently found Frank’s Good Stuff which is an antique store with some really great stuff and Dottie Jean’s Boutique which is full of the cutest clothes and accessories. I love adding a few new places to wander around in. Wandering through stores is definitely my love language and these newly discovered stores are speaking to me.

What I Could do Without….

My number one thing I could do without is the madness of March. Oh my goodness, do we need so much basketball in our lives? Do we need this much of anything in our lives? I say it every year and I stand by it. We have a bazillion ESPN channels. Can we not fit all this basketball on one of those many channels? Do we really need it on the regular networks? And seriously, aren’t these kids tired and don’t they have classes and homework to focus on. The only thing I can say about it is that the name is appropriate, it is definitely making me mad.

What I am Looking Forward to…….

I am looking forward to several things. We have a couple of fun social things coming up and it is always fun to celebrate people and their accomplishments. But the main thing I am looking forward to is the upcoming wedding. We are heavy into planning and putting things together and that is just a special time. What a great thing to look forward to celebrating new love!

What I may be obsessed with….

Sewing……Goodness I think of things to sew all the time. I dream of fabric stores. My most follows on social media are sewing accounts. I cannot tell you how much time I spend watching people sew things on YouTube. Now I just need to make time to get in my sewing room and actually make some of these things. Fabric is almost becoming like books…..I am going to have to cut myself off from buying more. One day….but not now.

What I am relaxing with……

Thank you Hallmark Channel for ending the day with The Golden Girls. After all the stuff of the day (and all the basketball), I am happy to veg out with those girls every night. It is just good, clean mindless entertainment and that is just what I need at days end.
