Ok, we all remember twin sets, right? A little matching cardigan and shell. I may have been the twin set queen back in the day. Well my daughter enjoys thrifting and she brought home this gorgeous (wink, wink) lavender twin sweater set

She wanted it cropped and so we gave it a try. The first thing we did was pin the band of the sweater where she wanted the new length to be. We did this putting right sides together.

Then we stitched along the bottom of the band across the whole sweater

We then cut about an inch below where we just stitched

Turned the machine to zig-zag mode and sewed where we just cut to keep the sweater from raveling.

We followed the exact same process on the matching shell…..and well here’s how it turned out.

She paid $4 for the set and we spent maybe 45 minutes making it like she wanted. I will try pretty much anything she comes up with because it is really about getting to hang out with her. Can’t wait to see what she drags home next.

Have a great weekend. See you back on Monday!
