Last week I shared about our 30th wedding anniversary. Our girls gifted us a spa experience. I have to say I was a little hesitant about it. They said we got you an appointment for a soak at a spa in Guntersville. My immediate reaction was couldn’t we just go camping……….because that seemed the only thing that might be worse.
But we went and here is how it turned out. We had to be there by 10:30. The spa is in a beautiful old house that has been restored.

It really was lovely. As soon as we entered the door, I started to feel better the whole thing.
They led us to a changing room and gave us luscious robes to change into.

Then to the lounge area we went where we could enjoy tea or water. She gave us a Soak Menu from which we selected which soak we wanted. There were anti-aging, detoxing, calming, sports, all kinds. I chose the Detox one and my husband chose the Sports one. She went off and prepared the room and came back for us.

It really was a beautiful set-up. Lovely claw foot tubs with chacuterie boards on each.

We also had a bowl of ice water with a hand towel in case we got too warm and a carafe of cold water to drink.

We had a ninety minute soak. We snacked. We talked a little and we took a couple of naps. It really was quite nice.
We left feeling relaxed and refreshed

Then when we got home, my husband surprised me with a flower delivery of 30 of the prettiest roses I have ever seen.

I mean look at these

It has been a week and they are still gorgeous.
I hope it is a wonderful week for you! And, hey if it is stressful, schedule yourselves a nice soak at The Soak House and Soapery.

I love it! The roses look like velvet! So gorgeous! Happy Anniversary!!
