Random Wednesday

First I have two things to report.

1. We had a great time delivering to the new neighbors on Monday. They seemed appreciative and excited …..especially about the pie. It is the first time I have made that pie and not prepared one for us. The family was none to happy to see them going out the door. 2. Next, two of the three contractors we had lined up actually showed up. I think those are pretty good odds. Plus they each do different things so we need them both. So they showed up, they measured…..now we are just hoping for follow up. Keep those fingers crossed. Oh and the no show…..hmmm let’s call him grumpy contractor. He was very nice on the first phone call. He said what day and time he wanted to come by. He never showed and he didn’t call. I called him to see if we needed to reschedule and he proceeded to tell me how he was spending time with his kid….OK….you set the day and time….. so I am not at all sure why you are angry with me. He said he’d call me later. This is going to shock you, but he didn’t. Let this be a lesson to us all who are trying to pay people to do work…..the nerve of us.

Now for some totally random things

Actually, they were really good. We made s’mores and they worked out great. I noticed they also offer chocolate marshmallows stuffed with chocolate. That feels like overkill, but hey whatever floats your boat.

Another food item we often buy is this big jar of mixed nuts

That’s me just eating the cashews. I have been married to my husband for 29 years. Has he ever noticed that he never gets any cashews? I don’t know. Has he ever mentioned it or complained? Nope, not at all. Another reminder that our differences don’t have to become issues, sometimes they just provide good balance.

And the last randomness for today,

Our favorite local shopping spot is having a sale today through Friday.

Do I need anything? Absolutely not. Am I going? For sure.
