Party!

Speaking of hosting I am gearing up this week to host one of my favorite gatherings – A Favorite Things Party. Last year we went virtual, but this year we are back together and I can’t wait to see my people. The house is always loud with chatter and I imagine this year being even more amped as we all catch up with each other.

I went to a local church’s holiday market and found this sign. I am not sure anything has ever been more made for me. Everyone who knows me will know that all day long I look forward to bedtime….an early bedtime. So hoping my friends will get a kick out of this welcoming them to my home.

And, yes, I already know that none of them will actually honor it and that is fine with me…..until 10:00 and then I am going to have to draw the line :).

But I have everyone a tote bag ready with a little surprise party favor.

I have food planned. I still have to make desserts……but they are my tried and true recipes so should be no issue.

I have games planned with some fun prizes.

But mostly it is just a time for us to connect.

If you need a an easy idea to gather with friends a Favorite Things Party is an easy gig.

Invite you Favorite people. Ask each to bring 3 of their favorite things all wrapped up. Put three copies of each guest’s name in a basket. Everyone draws out 3 names and receives a favorite thing from those people. The variety is really what makes this fun. Some people bring makeup/skincare, food products, accessories, home decor….anything goes.

This is also a pretty simple thing to pull off at a restaurant if you don’t want to have to worry about hosting in your home.
