As we focus on LOVE as our word of the year, I thought this was a good quote for us as we remember Martin Luther King, Jr.
It is tempting to respond to difficult situations in kind. It is easier to be nice to someone who is being nice to you. It is almost reactionary to respond to meanness with more meanness, anger with anger, harshness with harshness. But we are better than that, right? If we respond negatively to negative situations, the world would be on a constant downward spiral.
Encouraging you today to pull out some patience, some generosity, some grace, some love. Don’t get me wrong, I fully understand that you might have to dig deep…..really deep for some of these, but let’s be the LOVE the world so desperately needs right now.
