Look, I know there are a lot of pressing things in the world. This blog post is about none of them. Sometimes we just need a break from all the hard real stuff. Anyway, I do find the following very confusing and I just wondered if you might also
First, cute dress, correct? I mean at first glance it looks adorable…..until I notice it has cut outs at the waist. Love handle vents I guess. This is just a concept I cannot understand. I feel like if any designer on Project Runway sent this in front of the judges, the judges would scoff and say this is not a body area most women want to highlight and call attention to. I seriously don’t understand why we need this little cutout here.
Secondly, do we need to introduce the concept of alternating in our education system? Okay, why do people not understand when there are two lanes at the drive thru, we alternate. Feels very intuitive. Feels like people would just get it. But no, lane one is racing lane two like nobody’s business. People, it is simple – one person from this lane, then one person from the other lane. Poor Chick Fil-A will actually post a worker in the lot to help people with this concept. If you are an elementary school teacher, could you please nix the whole stay in a straight line concept and start teaching kids to alternate? Maybe we can save the next generation.
Next, the employees must wash hands before returning to work signs…..I think some of the customers interpret these to mean customers do not have to wash their hands. Yes, we need everyone to wash their hands, the employees, the customers, all users of the restroom. Please wash your hands. I want to go on Shark Tank with a detection system that will only permit the door to be opened if the soap dispenser and water have been activated. All non-hand washers can just be trapped in the restroom until they sanitize.
Lastly, I was brought up to give a little wave in your mirror if someone is kind enough to let you merge in, or change lanes, etc. A simple wave of thanks. Now you pause to let someone enter the traffic flow and nothing. It is as if they feel they are such expert drivers they were just able to carve out that entry for themselves. Do you give a little courtesy wave? Please say you do so we can continue to be friends.
Just odd little things that I feel like we all need to come to terms on.
