What’s your choice of gifts for Valentine’s day?
I know lots of us want Flowers, others are big chocolate fans, but honestly how happy would you be if someone showed up with a dozen eggs? I mean they are practically the price of a dozen roses these days.
Chick Fil A has their heart shaped trays of nuggets and I saw where Parlor doughnuts has a little special of mini doughnuts and of course there’s all kinds of other goodies about.
We don’t always do gifts, but sometimes we will just have a meal out or buy something we both want. I want a new rug for our bedroom and a new mattress for one of the upstairs bedrooms. I am hoping to persuade my husband that one of those two should be our Valentine treat. He needs a new lawn mower and may try to convince me that buying that will be romantic.
If you know someone who may or may not get something for the day…..a single mom, a relative, a neighbor……here’s your love challenge for the week. Go ahead and surprise someone! Trust me, small surprises are still wonderful. It is not about the actual item…it is about the thought!
We may just have an omelette while sitting on a new lawn mower…..that’ll be fine with me!
