Hope you had a wonderful weekend. It has finally turned cold and boy did it go at it full speed. It went from super warm and comfortable to bone chilling over night. But it is about time so I am not complaining.

Mostly I am watching Hallmark movies but I am sprinkling in a few other things in between. Here’s what I have been watching lately

The Mole is back on Netflix. I really liked this show when it was on network TV so I was thrilled to see it on Netflix. It’s reality TV. A group of folks take on different missions. The only problem is the Mole is secretly trying to sabotage the mission. Everyone in the group is trying to figure out who it is. I was wrong the whole time. I really enjoyed this and have my fingers crossed for another season.

I also really liked The Redeem Team! You all know I do not enjoy sports but I love the stories behind sporting events. This one is all about how the USA was not successful for a couple of Olympics and this team was put together for redemption. It is motivating and enlightening . I learned so much about a lot of the athletes and what really went on behind the scenes. And the best part is Kobe is in it. Wow to see him in his prime and with his sweet family……very nice. Definitely watch this one.

And now to one I did not enjoy, The Empress. This one is just weird and perverted and just unnecessarily graphic. Oh and did I mention weird? I didn’t finish it and I am here to save you a click or two. You can skip this one.

And then to a couple of documentary types. First, I Am a Killer documents how some folks have found themselves serving prison time because of murder convictions. I find real life very interesting so these are always a draw for me. I can’t say this particular one is that great, but if you need something to watch while you are folding laundry, it works. Now Killer Sally is a little more interesting. I don’t remember any of this but I was never really following the body building world. Sally and her husband are both body builders….and perhaps a bit dysfunctional….and violent….and sad. The hardest part of this one is there are two young kids involved. It was heart tugging. This is generational brokenness on screen.

Sorry to end on such a sad note, so let me just say I am really enjoying the Hallmark Christmas movies. They have changed the format so that we don’t have the forced crisis at the hour and 45 minute mark. That is nice that they are not 100 percent predictable. And they are good relief for the hard stuff going on all around us.
