Welcome to Monday! Hope you all had a great weekend. I loved hearing from you about Friday’s post. Listen, we can all be thankful (chickens included) that it was all a joke. I am one hundred percent certain that I would be horrible at that.
Since we didn’t have to assemble the chicken coop, we had lots of time to celebrate this little girl’s birthday

We had a full day of doing things we love. We started out with breakfast, then a little shopping, dinner, presents and cake. I mean what’s not to love, right?
We went to J. Alexander’s. Before kids, we used to occasionally drive up to Nashville to eat at their J. Alexander’s. Now we have one locally, but had not tried it out yet. From first foot in the door I knew it was going to be good

It’s a lovely designed space and I love a wait staff that is crisp and on their job. I knew we were in for a treat. We all ordered something different

We had the Lasagna with the best fennel sausage, the Pecan Crusted trout, the Chicken Caesar salad and the Cypress salad that had Cornbread croutons that were delicious. How often do you go on a group dinner and every plate is delicious? I have been thinking about it ever since and can’t wait to go back.
My husband also had coffee and they brought out the French Press…..and now I want a French Press. I am not a coffee drinker but I love the smell of it and admire any one who can drink a fully caffeinated drink no matter the time of day. If you own a French Press, tell me which one I should buy.
A fun and delicious weekend of celebrating an awesome mom and wonderful grandma. Hopefully she enjoyed it all as much as we did.
Make it a great week!

Happy birthday to your mom. She is such a delightful, beautiful woman.
Thanks, Karen. I will definitely pass it along to her.
Happy Birthday Wishes to your mom!! April is such a beautiful month to have a birthday!! I have a french press,..love it. However I cannot recommend a certain brand, I just picked mine up at TJ Maxx 🙂
Oh cool. I usually stop by the Maxx once a week so I will keep an eye out for one! Thanks for letting me know.
