Well you guys know how we roll around here…..only high impact, life changing information. Ha! I jest for sure. But today I want to share something that may not change your life, but if you like order and organization it may put a smile on your face.
May I present…..my sock drawer
I am very hopeful that I am not the only one who has a sock drawer that looks like this. For years I have obviously been folding my socks incorrectly. I started following @thefoldinglady on Instagram and there are several drawers getting a makeover at my house.
I have always started folding socks like the ones on the left, but she teaches you to start with the socks flat like the ones on the right
I would just roll the socks together and it would form a nice little sock ball (pictured on the left), but as you can see when you start them as she recommends you get a nice flat stackable sock bundle (pictured on the right).
This may not have changed my life, but I do open the drawer and take a peek a couple of times a day. I can’t help it. It just so tidy in there and I found my Thanksgiving socks. I completely forgot I even owned socks with turkeys….but not this year. This year I can see all my holiday socks, my comfy couch socks, my act like I am going to work out socks…..it’s all there and in plain sight.
Now listen, no one here is going to judge you if you put on a nice movie and flatfold all your socks this weekend. You go right ahead…..and then call me :).
